This exquisite Mid Century brooch features a oval indigo blue labradorite stone is set in a sleek sterling silver frame. The stone is such a gorgeous saturated color, with that particular kind of optical effect known as "schiller" or "labradorescence." It reminds us of the wing of a Blue Morpho butterfly. This brooch is hallmarked for Finland and is stamped with the maker's mark of artist Kaunis Koru. Circa 1960.
