Gold Strike Juniper is a dwarf conifer which is primarily valued in the garden for its broadly spreading habit of growth. It has attractive chartreuse-variegated gold foliage which emerges yellow in spring. The scale-like sprays of foliage are highly ornamental and turn coral-pink in the fall, which persists throughout the winter. The spreading, vivid yellow foliage of Juniperus horizontalis ‘Gold Strike’ creates a bright, cheery spot in the garden throughout the year. In spring, brilliant new growth freshens up the chartreuse interior foliage and continues the sparkling display through fall, when the look gradually softens with coral tones.
