A vintage pendant of celadon and apple green jade carved in the shape of a plum. The plum is a rich and auspicious symbol in Chinese culture: it symbolizes winter, the first month of the Chinese New Year and is one of the "suits" in Mahjong. The jade pendant is suspended by an ornamental leaf-shaped bale from a 14k gold chain. The chain is embellished with a jade button bezel set in gold, small jade beads and gold bars. Circa 1950s.
